Christmas Elf Amigurumi Free Crochet Pattern

Free amigurumi doll patterns are added to our page every day. In this article, we shared a wonderful amigurumi doll ikra pattern.

Yarn and Equipment:

1. Yarn. Alize Cotton Gold, cotton (55%), acrylic (45%), color milky (62), 330 m – 100 g. Used for the head and arms of the elf. You will need approximately 20 g of the yarn.

Gazzal Baby Cotton 60%: cotton 40%: acrylic 165 m – 50 g color red (3443), emerald (3456), white (3432). You will need approximately 20-30 g of the yarn each color.

You can use any yarn and any color to make this doll. The choice of yarn is completely up to you and your preference. You can also differ the size of the doll by using a thicker or thinner yarn. Just bear in mind you need to use same type, thickness and hook number so as the clothes and accessories fit on the body and head .

Yarn for hair: Embroidery floss (black)

2. Hook. It is selected individually for the yarn. I have 2 mm, 3,5mm ( I have

clover Cupid). I just remind you in order to knitting to be tight; you need to take a

hook smaller than the size that is recommended for yarn. Knitting will be hard, but

there will be no ugly holes. Crochet hook: 2 mm (B/1- US, 14- UK) , 3,5 mm (Е/4

– US, 9 – UK).

3. Washable polyester filling for the stuffing of the toy.

  1. A pair of eyes for toys or two halfbeads Ø 8 mm Safety eyes 8 mm or glass eyes 7 mm.
If you use the eyes on the leg, you will need a strong thread for fastening and transparent glue.

5. Marker thread of contrasting color. Thin.

6. Large and small needles, pins.

7. A pair of scissors.

8. Oil or dry pastel for toning. Toning is also done by you yourself. I do a little.

9.Chopstick (or any other wooden stick with a blunt end) – for the stuffing of the toy.

If you use the materials as advised above the final size of the toy is going to be 34 cm (approximately 13,4″) from top of the head to toes.

R 6) 1sc in each stitch around = 14sc

Cut off the yarn leaving a long tail for sewing. In the 69throw (the first row on the head without additions), we plan the place of attachment of the ears, align and sew.

Figure out where you want to place your ears. By placing your ears on various spots on the toy head you can change the look of the toy. Once you are finished sewing on the ears on to the head, knot the ends and bury threads in the head. Snip off any excess thread.

Hair:

1) We crochet a chain of chains necessary for the head. In the process of knitting, we try on.

We are going to crochet strands of hair further on

2) 10 ch, 10 sc in 2nd ch from the hook, slst in st the base of the chain

So we crochet to the end of our base chain.

We pin the hair to the head, align and sew.

Assembling of the toy

Make a loop on eyes. Cut a very strong thread, put it in two threads (the thread should be long enough). Thread through the eye loop, tie a knot on the loop so that the eye is fixed in the middle of our thread and does not go back and forth along the thread. Use thin pliers to flatten the eye loop carefully (so as not to break the eye), and it will be more comfortable for us to insert it into the head.

The eyes are placed between the 72ndand the 73rdrows. Apply a little glue to the eye leg before installation. The distance between the eyes is 6 crochets.

When you are ready to insert the eyes you can follow these steps: It is up to you where you want to place the eyes. You can use a couple of straight pins with a black head to help determine the best look for your elf. Once you have decided on placement, you can then sew the eyes in.

Start embroidering the nose. Place the stitches over two single crochet until the

nose is protruding a bit. Do not make the stitches too tight – the stitches should be quite accurate and the tightness of the stitches should be the same for all of them.

Only in such a case, the nose is going to be even. After finishing the nose have the needle exit at the top of the head, fix the thread well and hide its ends inside the head.

Between the 70thand the 71strows we embroider the nose

We outline the eyebrows with pins, align them symmetrically and embroider ones

Slightly tone the nose with the brown and cheeks with the pink pastel
